TAFC & Plymouth Argyle Remembers

New home grown manager Dean Cardew oversees a thoroughly deserved 2-0 win against Plymouth Argyle Reserves.

It was a remarkable result considering Cardew had no less than 8 ECPL players in his match day squad due to absentees/injuries and with Plymouth Argyle fielding four full time professionals.  Local lads Ben Waters and Darren Hicks provided the ammunition; Waters notching a brace with both goals resulting from Darren Hicks corners.

Cardew gave thanks in his program notes to the support provided by Ian Stephens and Mike Roberts in his first week in charge.

Fantastic start to Dean’s reign and was his first win as a manager for about 3 months. A big thanks to Mike Roberts for taking training, getting the 2nd team players on board, picking the team, taking the warm up and offering words of wisdom to players before during and after the game. Apart from that Dean did everything else to ensure a win.

The big question on the lips of supporters and players is when are the trendy new bobble hats available to buy? At £10 they are a bargain.
